Insure Missouri

In 2003, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received a state planning grant to identify methods for ensuring access to health care insurance and health care, by developing a plan that will offer all Missouri's uninsured citizens access to affordable health insurance. Many organizations in Missouri are partners in this project, including Missouri AHEC. AHEC's role will be to hold community forums throughout the state in 2005 to involve the public and all stakeholders in this process. Privace and Security Policy

The Missouri Area Health Education (MAHEC) statewide system aims to enhance access to quality health care - particularly primary and preventative care - by improving the supply and distribution of health care professionals through community/academic educational partnerships. These efforts are supported in part with funds from the Missouri DHSS; the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Bureau of Health Professionals (BHrP); and local support mechanisms.
